Check out this forum RCJetz.com.

A place where you can talk anything that is Jet related. From the RC versions to the full scale versions!

At the recent Big Bird fly-In, where large scale RC airplanes converge annually at the Bomber Field USA. Mac Hodges put his beautifully scaled B-29 threw it's paces. With low fly by's,flat spins and barrel rolls all happening, also using a smoke system to add more drama to the fully sickness of the demo.

Whats Unique about this RC bomber is the ability for it to carry a fully functional RC X-1 that Chuck Yeager used to break the sound barrier and seeing the model pilots to bail out when Mac brings in his B-29 inches above the deck.
Fully sick stuff!

This guy at HaddadRC, seems to have a natural talent to make stuff fly. From a 14foot B2 Bomber to a flying carpet.
His choice of material is foam, both depron and EPP and a wild imagination. That breaks the laws of aerodynamics and physics to construct these RC flying contraptions.

Those of us that fly RC airplanes. Have seen or more likely experienced a crash. The day usually turns to sh@t after the incident. Especially when you have punctured your lipo and destroyed your $100 ESC.

This video shows a RC airplane crashing, first person style. What happened was the battery fell out! Resulting in a total loss of control. Thanks to the on board camera we see the whole situation play out. Including the firefighters getting the RC airplane out the tree!

Check it out!

It seems every Tom,Dick and Harry is starting some sort of UAV ( unmanned aerial vehicle ) related company, that's promising beautiful image quality and reliability etc. Which is a good thing. What's even better is it allows wannabe fighter jocks, like me to possibly fly armed UAV's in places like Iraq or Afghanistan in the comfort of America.

For those who don't want to fly multimillion dollar armed UAV's. There is always the humble RC UAV to fly. Throw in a bit of GPS technology, some money and presto! You can have your very own UAV buzzing around your field taking video and pictures while you have a beer.

There is loads of information regarding this rapidly growing area of RC. The best sites to check out are RCGroups and DIYdrones.

I am going to start a Weekend Project series. That will get me and yourself to build, learn, inspire or just admire something Radio Controlled that is fully sick.

This series is going to be about the world of "foamie" scratchbuilts.
RC airplane's that are built out of depron, EPP, fanfold anything that is light, cheap and glueable. "Foamies" have become huge in the RC world. Manufacturers make their airplanes out of them and some hobby shops only sell "foamie" related stuff.
Why? because it's cheap to buy or make, easy to fix and you only need cheap electronics to fly them. What's even better about them is, who dosen't like flying something they designed and built or built from the hundreds of plan's like minded RC enthusiats have stuck on the Internet. I do, because I built and flew successfully one of the greatest beginner RC foamies ever designed.

The Blu-baby Trainer. This has to be the most widely built and flown foam RC airplane ever. It has taught alot of people how to fly and how to build foam airplanes.
The information about and modifications done to this foamie are endless, resulting in one of the biggest threads ever on RCGroups.
So find some foam, a good setup for your propulsion system, download the free plans and go create something Fully Sick!!!
